Failed attempts
A medium-sized chain store struggled with inefficient systems and processes established over the years. The goal was to replace outdated legacy systems and scale best-in-class branch processes. However, a lack of capacity and existing expertise in the team caused previous attempts to fail.
Three hurdles hindering the process
Lean corporate structures and limited specialist staff left little room for additional project tasks. The coronavirus pandemic exacerbated the situation with lockdowns and additional burden on the day-to-day business. Simultaneously, company-specific processes and integrations proved to be complex.
Defining a Clear Target Architecture for Success
An ERP-based target architecture was defined with specialist managers. In just three months, several systems were evaluated, a proof of concept was implemented to validate the core requirements, and a roadmap was created for gradual modernization and integration.
Driving Enterprise-Wide Agile Implementation
The selected ERP favorite was tested and integrated into core processes, while existing applications were made ERP-ready. Technical, functional, and human challenges were resolved directly. Ownership was gradually transitioned to the internal team through structured knowledge transfer.
